据金山公司介绍，柯林斯英语大词典（Collins English Dictionary）是一本权威的英英词典，内含118000条词汇，220000条相关解释，及时收录全球各地区常用的新词、方言。该词典所有资源均来自于柯林斯独一无二的语言资料库（被称为Collins Word Web），该数据库中收集了10亿多条词汇，及这些词汇在图书、报纸、广播、电视、杂志、信函或演说中被使用过的例句，准确地表达出今天人们所使用的英语词汇的涵义。

　　但是，十分遗憾的是，谷歌金山词霸只能使用柯林斯英语大词典的“体验版”，在界面中只会显示第一条释义，倘若需要更多释义，需要点击“更多”进入爱词霸社区查看。

　　体验版与完整版是有很大的区别的，诸如“People”一词，谷歌金山词霸提供的“体验版”仅会返回“persons collectively or in general”这一条，而完整版却会显示：
