在Netbeans7.0发布之前，Netbeans将陆续发布若干个中间版本，而Netbeans6.1就是其中很重要的一个。这个版本的性能相对上一个有较大的提高，而启动速度甚至提升了40%之多。并加入了JavaScript的支持等众多的功能。

　　按照Netbeans官方网给出的Release Roadmap，Netbeans6.1计划在美国时间4.23发布，而之前已经释放了两个候选版本。根据Netbeans官网上给出的Netbeans社区对Netbeans6.1的投票结果，Netbeans6.1已经以91%的支持率获得通过，这就是说Netbeans6.1马上就要发布了，让我们一起期待吧！
