将client的oracle数据备份至Networker服务器的本地硬盘空间上，因为硬盘空间只有1T，但oracle数据又比较大，想请问，如果设置好相应的browse policy 和retention policy,当save set 的状态变为recyclable，Networker在备份的磁盘空间写满后，是否能自动覆盖recyclable的save set的数据库空间，以实现空间循环利用？？？
我知道当Networker数据备份至磁带，如果整盘磁带的save set都是recyclable状态，那磁带的状态也将变为recyclable,如果其属性设置为auto media management,Networker服务器就会自动relable这盘磁盘来使用。

Yes. If you did back2disk (adv_file), the expired saveset will automatically deleted and then free up disk space.

谢谢楼上，顺便再问一下，在建adv_file时，系统会再自动生成一个read_only的volume,与普通的file类型相比，这样对可用磁盘空间会不会有什么影响？

不会的~~其实都是同一个数据，只不过有两个影像而已，因为adv_file可同时读写。

auto media management功能不是用来回收磁带的吧 .

- the Backup disk will appear as two volume. One "read only" volume is for recovery and other is for backup
- Auto Media Managemnet is used for re-labeling tape when the tape status is recycleable when NetWorker needs tape for backup. It will save your time time to manually label. The detail usage can be found in manual.

NO. You can not directly convert fron file type device to Adv_File but you can do "staging" from one to other one.
More staging inforamtion can be found in manual.
File Type device is old backup to disk device. Adv File type device is new one.
I think we will ask me the different. The advanage of Adv_file provides auto- delete any un-successfull save-set, simultaneous backup and restore. deleting expired saveset.
